Looking Back at Previous Sidekicks
Sidekicks has proven to be a life changing experience for those who have completed the program. We talked with former alumni Cedric Viaje and Wilhelm Benedictos, as well as former Project Lead Katherine Bairan to get their insider scoop on the Sidekicks Program.
“The strength of the Sidekicks program is its focus on training tech-related expertise; but at the same time, participants have a great exposure to the project management and sales side of the business,” said Viaje. “We’re privileged to receive plenty of mentorship from industry leading senior developers, account managers, and project leads; plus, we were also involved in some ongoing client projects,” he added.
“While other company-sponsored programs only focus on one field, e.g. IT only, the Sidekicks program provides mentorship and hands-on work experience in Software Development, Sales, and Project Management,” claimed Benedictos. “Sidekicks is a good way to start your career by learning the whole process of the tech business,” he concluded.
Both alumni are now full time Superheroes with ClinkIT Solutions. They claimed that 4 months were not enough to soak in all the information shared but played a major role in improving their skills as developers. They also agreed that only a few other organizations offer IT bootcamps and none are as comprehensive as the Sidekicks Program.
No one knows Sidekicks better than former Project Lead Katherine Bairan.
