Job Description
Role
Own daytoday functional support and light configuration across core Microsoft Dynamics GP modules: Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Bank Reconciliation, Fixed Assets; create SmartLists, troubleshoot user issues, and coordinate minor enhancements with engineering/partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Application Support: Handle Level 1–Level 2 tickets; triage bugs; provide postgolive hypercare.
- Configuration and Training: Maintain users/roles, workflows, and SmartLists; document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); deliver user training.
- Reporting: Build basic SmartList/Excel reports; partner with the Business Intelligence (BI) team for SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Microsoft Power BI requests.
- Finance Operations Cadence: Support monthend close, reconciliations, and yearend routines.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years with Microsoft Dynamics GP (or a similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system) across AP/AR/GL; working knowledge of SmartLists.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; basic Structured Query Language (SQL) skills (read/modify queries).
- Nicetohave: Management Reporter (MR), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Microsoft Power BI; exposure to eConnect or basic data migration.
Domain Experience
- ProcuretoPay (P2P), OrdertoCash (O2C), and RecordtoReport (R2R) basics; fixedassets lifecycle.
Additional Expectations
- Compliance and Security: Basic awareness of Segregation of Duties (SoD); follows documented changecontrol; flags potential control gaps to the Functional Consultant or Lead.
- Shift Coverage: Comfortable with agreed timezone overlap (for example, 2–4 hours U.S. Pacific Time (PT)) and a light oncall rotation for afterhours incidents under supervision.
- Tooling Stack: Familiarity with ticketing systems (Jira or ServiceNow), SmartConnect or KingswaySoft for simple imports, and sourcecontrol basics (Git or Azure DevOps) for scripts/SQL.
- Migration Exposure: Nicetohave experience assisting on Microsoft Dynamics GP → Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) tasks (masterdata cleansing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) execution, postcutover support).
